Ballia (UP), Oct 14 (PTI) A 16-year-old young lady was supposedly assaulted on the appearance of marriage by a man whom she become friends with on Facebook, police said on Thursday.


The young lady, an inhabitant of Dokati Police Station region here, became companions with the 31-year-old blamed having a place with Hardoi region through Facebook. 


On August 25, she went to Hardoi to meet the one who supposedly assaulted her, as indicated by police. 


Dokati Police Station in-control Manoj Singh said on the grumbling of the young lady's' mom, a case was enrolled after her little girl disappeared. 


On Thursday, police kept the young lady alongside the blamed from Bairia transport remain here, he said.
